Steffen Drüsedow

Steffen Drüsedow received his Diploma in Communication Engineering (“Dipl.-Ing. FH”) from University of Applied Science (FHTW) Berlin in October 1995. In 1998 he joined Deutsche Telekom and worked as architect and developer in several corporate SW projects. Since 2001 he was involved in a number of national and European research projects, i.e. the IST- projects YOUNGSTER and DAIDALOS. Main focus of his work was in the field of context-aware pervasive service platforms. Since September 2008 he is member of the “Intelligent Access” group of Deutsche Telekom Laboratories.

Michaela Greiler

Michaela Greiler studied Computer Science at the University of Klagenfurt. In 2007, she studied at the University of Westminster in London and finished her studies in March 2008 with distinction. Her master thesis covers secure resource sharing in mobile ad hoc networks with focus on peer-to-peer networks and grid computing in the area of MANETs. From April 2008 until January 2009 she worked at the System Security Group at the University of Klagenfurt as a researcher and lecturer for algorithms and data structures, theoretical informatics and system security. In December 2008 she joined the ARTOSC project at the University of Technology Delft, which aims at enabling runtime testability in SOA infrastructures.

Kai Hackbarth

Herr Hackbarth wurde am 11.11.1973 in Hagen, Nordrhein-Westfalen geboren. Er ist seit 8 Jahren in die technischen Arbeiten der OSGi-Alliance involviert. Herr Hackbarth ist Chair des OSGi Requirements Working Committee, Residential Expert Group und Interim Chair der Vehicle Expert Group. Er ist in verschiedenen Forschungsprojekten beteiligt, darunter „Service Centric Home (SerCHo) und „Service Oriented Programmable Smart Environment for older Europeans“ (SOPRANO). Darüber hinaus fördert er die OSGi-Technologie in anderen Initiativen wie BITKOMs „Dialogkreis Konvergenz“. Herr Hackbarth war bei der Gründung des deutschen OSGi User-Forums maßgeblich beteiligt und kleidet seit dem 09.09.2008 das Amt des 1. Vorsitzenden. Sein Fokus liegt in den Bereichen Smart-Home und Automotive/Telematik, wo er die aktuellen Entwicklungen treibt und in die strategische Positionierung von ProSyst’s Produktportfolio involviert ist.

Marcus Harringer

Marcus Harringer is a software engineer and consultant at MicroDoc GmbH in Munich focusing on embedded Java and OSGi development. Marcus was involved in the introduction of TDD within the MicroDoc development process. Marcus holds a M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Salzburg/Austria.

Hans Kamutzki

Hans Kamutzki is co-founder and Managing Director of MicroDoc, Munich. He studied Physics and Computer Science in Bonn and Munich, Germany and focussed on realtime image processing and process control in the early days of his professional work. For a "device and algorithm for the automatic detection of objects" he was co-awarded a German and European patent. After many years of development and project management practice in Smalltalk and Java, Hans now runs the Embedded Java operations in MicroDoc, working mainly in business development and legal/contractual matters.

Andreas Kraft

Andreas Kraft, geboren 1964 in Berlin, studierte Informatik an der TU Berlin, bevor er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut FOKUS der GMD (heute Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft) in den Themenbereichen Multimedia und interaktives Fernsehen arbeitete. Seit 2000 arbeitete Hr.Kraft als Senior Projektmanager zuerst für T-Systems und ab 2008 für die Deutschen Telekom Laboratories, der zentralen Forschungs- und Entwicklungseinrichtung der Deutschen Telekom, und ist nun seit zehn Jahren im Bereich "Vernetztes Heim" in nationalen und internationalen Projekten sowie in Standardisierungsgremien tätig. Seine aktuellen Themenschwerpunkte sind Software-Ausführungsumgebungen, Netzwerkprotokolle und Datenformate für das vernetzte Heim.
Herr Kraft ist Co-Chair der OSGi Residential Expert Group und bekleidet im OSGi Users' Forum Germany das Amt des 2.Vorsitzenden.

Timo Kehrer

Timo Kehrer ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Praktische Informatik an der Universität Siegen. Seine Forschungsinteressen sind auf dem Gebiet der modellgetriebenen bzw. modellbasierten Entwicklung von Software. insbesondere im Bereich Modell-Versionsmanagement, Modell-Evolution und der Analyse von Modell-Repositories angesiedelt. Die Schwerpunkte seiner Lehrtätigkeit liegen auf der objektorientierten Programmierung und Modellierung.

Christer Larsson

Christer Larsson has over 15 years of experience in business development and advanced systems design for high-tech companies with experience from the automotive, airline and telecom industries working for such companies as Volvo IT, Carmen Systems and Ericsson.

Christer has been involved in the development of the OSGi technology since 1998, taking part in the design of Ericsson's e-box concept which influenced the first releases of the OSGi specification to a large degree. He is currently the CEO of Makewave (formerly Gatespace Telematics) and the VP EMEA of the OSGi Alliance. Christer is also deeply involved in the open source OSGi project Knopflerfish.

Jeff McAffer

Jeff McAffer leads the Eclipse Equinox OSGi, RCP and Orbit teams and is CTO and co-founder of EclipseSource. He is one of the architects of the Eclipse Platform and a co-author of The Eclipse Rich Client Platform and the upcoming book Equinox and OSGi (Addison-Wesley). He co-leads the RT PMC and is a member of the Eclipse Project PMC, the Tools Project PMC and the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors and the Eclipse Architecture Council. Jeff is currently interested all aspects of Eclipse components from developing and building bundles to deploying, installing and ultimately running them. Previous lives include being a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM and work in distributed/parallel OO computing as well as expert systems, meta-level architectures and a PhD at the University of Tokyo.

Felix Meschberger

Felix Meschberger works as a senior developer for Day Management AG creating content management systems using open source and internal tools. Felix is a committer to the Apache Jackrabbit and Felix projects, where he maintains the Declarative Services specification implementation and developed the Metatype and Configuration Admin Service specification implementations. In September 2007 Felix contributed the Sling to the Apache Software Foundation and now serves as the Chair of the Apache Sling project. Apache Sling is a web application framework built on top of the OSGi framework making extensive use of declarative services.

Frank Müller

Frank Müller ist Mitbegründer und Managing Director der kingmedia websolutions GmbH in Köln. Er studierte Informationswissenschaft, Informatik und Psychologie an der Universität des Saarlandes. Nach 15 Jahren Erfahrungen in IT-Beratung und Softwareentwicklung konzentriert er sich heute hauptsächlich auf Businessdevelopment und Networking. Frank Müller ist Vorstandsmitglied des OSGi Users' Forum Germany.

Dr. Pierre Parrend

Pierre Parrend is a research scientist at the FZI (Forschungszentrum Informatik) Karlsruhe. He pursues both development and research activities in software quality and security. Pierre has made a PhD at the French research institution INRIA about the security of OSGi-based applications. He is active in the OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project), as well as in the ISSECO (International Secure Software Engineering Council) associations.

Karl Pauls

Karl Pauls ist Leiter des Competence Centers für Mobile Lösungen und OSGi der akquinet AG. Neben der Leitung von OSGi-Projekten und der Entwicklung mobiler Anwendungen ist er Mitglied der Apache Software Foundation (ASF) und engagiert sich als OpenSource Entwickler im Apache Felix Projekt - der OSGi-Implementierung von Apache. Er hält Vorträge auf Fachkonferenzen und schreibt als Co-Autor am "OSGi in Action" Buch.

Roman Roelofsen

Roman Roelofsen ist Lead Architect bei der ProSyst Software GmbH und verantwortlich für den Enterprise Solution Bereich. Er repräsentiert ProSyst Software in den OSGi Core Platform und Enterprise Expert Groups. Sein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der OSGi Technologie und Softwarearchitekturen. Weiterhin ist er aktiver Committer in Open Source Projekten und regelmäßiger Redner auf Konferenzen. Seine Hauptinteressen sind modulare Programmierung und Sprachen-Design.

Heiko Seeberger

Heiko Seeberger ist seit 2009 als geschäftsführender Gesellschafter für den Bereich Technology der Weigle Wilczek GmbH verantwortlich. Er studierte Physik an der LMU München und schrieb seine Diplomarbeit am Max-Planck-Institut für Festkörperforschung in Stuttgart. Mit seiner Erfahrung aus über fünfzehn Jahren IT-Beratung und Software-Entwicklung treibt er die technologische Strategie des Unternehmens mit den Schwerpunkten Java, Scala, OSGi, Eclipse RCP und Lift. Zudem ist er aktiver Open Source Committer, Autor zahlreicher Fachartikel und Redner auf einschlägigen Konferenzen.
